MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR // FULL-TIME
We are looking for a forward-thinking, creative and resourceful individual with a passion for storytelling to join the growing Valerie Madison team full-time to help us expand and solidify our social media presence.You will be responsible for developing campaigns and managing day-to-day content for all Valerie Madison social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Google). This is an on-site position, so must be present in Seattle.
We would like to fill this position by March 1, 2020.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Email Marketing:craft consistent messaging for newsletters, brainstorming new campaigns for cart abandonment, loyalty rewards, and up-selling
SEO keyword research & updating: make calculated adjustments to Google Adwords, website SEO and social media channels utilizing our brand-specific keywords
Shopify analytics metrics reports:Manage and update weekly, monthly, and yearly goals for Valerie Madison web traffic and social media performance. Strategize and implement action steps to improve conversion rate, page views etc.
Social media accounts:monitor and engage in company-related online conversations and respond to social media client related inquiries across Instagram, Facebook and Google in a timely fashion.
Website updates: Update Valerie Madison website with events & pop-ups, and blog posts. Update and maintain profiles on all external websites; photographs, bio, business information, for brand consistency
Instagram: Plan, schedule and execute daily social media postings with assistance from Valerie Madison team members, create a strategic plan for daily engagement, comments and follows. Brainstorm contests, giveaways, and collaborations.
Facebook:create Facebook ads to educate and engage new & existing customers.
Media / PR: Contact various media outlets and community influencers/leaders to help promote the Valerie Madison brand and coordinate press pulls with editors
Events: Coordinate messaging for events, pop-ups, trunks shows, etc. occasional on-site live-streaming & documenting
Company Blog: Strategize on new bi-weekly blog post content, coordinate deadlines with copywriter or Valerie Madison team members, update and improve keywords for best-performing blog posts, and provide content for new blog posts: top 5 lists, etc.
Trends / Education: Monitor social media trends and tools in order to recommend actions and next steps. Learn about and keep up to date with diamond and jewelry styles, terminology, and trends to better equip yourself for success
- Demonstrated social media and/or marketing experience
- Fluent in various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and Google)
- Self-motivated, resourceful, organized and requires little supervision
- Outside of the box thinker and problem solver
- Excellent written and oral communication, high attention to detail is a must
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with a small team effectively
- Quick to follow up and pursue different leads
- Aptitude and interest in learning quickly
- Jewelry industry knowledge is a huge plus!
- Graphic design skills in Illustrator or Photoshop experience is a plus!
- Photography skills are a bonus!
Compensation: Annual salary, DOE
